Apple iOS 12 Update : 10 New Interesting Features.

Apple announced the next version of iOS at its WWDC developer conference. While iOS 12 won’t be available before the fall, it’s always exciting to get a sneak peek at the next version of iOS.

The new update for iPhones and iPads does include some significant additions, changes, and improvements. Screen Time, Memoji, Group FaceTime, and grouped notifications are just some of the new things that you’ll notice when you install iOS 12

1. Grouped Notifications : 

Apple is taking a huge step to overcome its messy notification situation. iOS 12 will support grouped notifications, so you’ll be able to interact with multiple notifications from the same app at once.

Apple is also giving users to choose which apps are allowed to send notifications that vibrate their phone. They won’t make any sound or vibrate and will be directly visible in the notification center instead of a popping up on screen.

2. Animojis can detect your Tongue :

memoji-1-800x584Apple is adding new characters ; a ghost, a koala, a tiger, a T-rex. Animoji will be able to detect when you’re sticking out your tongue and mimic that.

You’ll also be able to create your own Customized Memoji. Apple is basically copying Snap’s Bitmoji . You’ll be able to create characters that have your own appearance, choosing skin color, hairstyle, and outfitting your Memoji with accessories.

 

3. Group Facetime :

iOS 12 will introduce group FaceTime sessions that can include up to 32 people, that’s pretty much !

When multiple people are on a call, their video windows will get larger when they’re speaking and shrink when they’re not, according to their activity the windows will get scaled.

And while conversations when your face feels a little boring, you’ll be able to use Animoji and Memoji characters during calls and make it more exciting.

4. Augmented Reality :

Apple is launching a new app to educate people about augmented reality. This app is called Measure.

Apple is also updating ARKit with multiplayer augmented reality. You can get the same augmented reality experience with multiple devices. You can point an iPad at a Lego set to add virtual buildings and objects, and recreate a tiny little city.

5. Shortcuts :

Apple is introducing shortcuts for Siri. It’s not just for voice, Apple is also adding shortcuts on the lock screen or in the search screen for instance. So If you’re running late for a meeting, you’ll get a suggestion to send a text to the other person.

Apple is adding a ‘For You‘ tab. For You can also suggest you to share photos with friends and family members. When you share them, it looks like it creates a link that you can send in iMessage. The other person will also get a suggestion to share photos back.

6. Time Spent Online :

To waste less time mindlessly scrolling the news feed, Apple came up with Screen time.

So now with Screen Time, your phone can give you an overview of things you do with your phone so that you waste less time.

You can track your kid’s usage and lets you set a time limit on apps to remind you to use them less.

7. Apple News & Stocks App :

There’s a Browse feature in Apple News and an Apple News sidebar on the iPad, and Apple has entirely redesigned the Stocks app and introduced it on the iPad.

8. iBooks , now called as, Apple Books :

Along with the name change comes a refreshed design that focuses on discoverability.

A new Book Store tab “makes it easy to explore new titles and browse the top charts, curated collections, and special offers,” according to Apple.

9. Voice Memos with iCloud Syncing :

Apple announced that the Voice Memos app has similarly been redesigned and will come to the iPad with the release of iOS 12.

And helpfully, your recordings will now be available across devices thanks to iCloud syncing.

10. Do Not Disturb :

Do Not Disturb at Bedtime lets you turn off notifications at night so you only see the time and not the messy notification pop ups.

You can set Do Not Disturb for an hour, while you’re at a specific location, or for the duration of a meeting.

iOS 12 is limited to developers currently, but Apple will make a public beta available later this year, giving eager testers a chance to try out the new features before the software officially launches this fall alongside new iPhones.

As iOS 11 will be upgraded with iOS 12, You don’t need to wait for new one to launch, you can go for iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone X  and get various discounts.
